4.  EU Import duty

Import duty 2,7% (import tariff code 9506210000 Sailboards) – which equals approx. 6 Euro for a carbon fibre windsurfing fin.

Plus

5.  Handling fee:
A small “handling fee” or “customs clearance fee” to the shipping carrier (we use DHL), which is approx. 20 Euro.

Question 2: I live outside Europe. What will I actually pay if buying anything in your webshop?

Basically the same as the EU-citizen, with a some higher shipping cost and limit for free shipping. Import duty for surf gear is normally low (for example EU 2,7%), but if you are concerned about this, you will have to check this by yourself (Import duty for import tariff code 9506210000 Sailboards).

Question 3: If you have “Free Shipping”, then why do I have to pay customs clearance fee or “handling fee” to the shipping carrier (for example DHL)?

The Shipping Carriers strictly link the payment of VAT (and if any Custom Duties) to the customs clearance fee. If a customer is invoiced for VAT, the carrier will also charge the customer the customs clearance fee.
